This incredible place has been on my bucket list for so long. I actually wanted to go for my honeymoon. But, when we decided to get married in Las Vegas, we decided on somewhere closer.
There are so many things that appeal to me about this place. It offers the most magical experiences from a safari in the Serengeti National Park, to hiking up Mount Kilimanjaro, to relaxing on the stunning beaches of Zanzibar.
The Serengeti National Park is one of the seven wonders of Africa and one of the ten natural travel wonders of the world.
It is home to approximately 4000 lions, 200,000 zebra, 1 million gazelles and 2 million wildebeest.
Mount Kilimanjaro is the worlds tallest freestanding mountain. There are a few different routes to the top, each with varying difficulty, levels and lengths. Imagine the sense of achievement reaching the summit, not to mention the views!
Then once the astonishing safari and life-changing hike are done, what better way to relax than on the idyllic beaches of Zanzibar?
Zanzibar boasts stunning beaches not too dissimilar to The Maldives, with white bleached sands and crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean. You can dive, snorkel, swim with dolphins or just relax and catch the sun.
Fun fact - Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar in 1946
